Starting position : Stand with your legs shoulder-width apart with your feet slightly turned outward. Stretch your arms out in front of you and, if desired, interlace your fingers.
The movement : Bend your knees and push your glutes back. Go low enough so that your thighs are parallel to the floor. Then return to the starting position before repeating the movement.

During the exercise, make sure to keep your body weight on the heels , not the balls of the feet. Also keep your back straight throughout the movement to avoid injury.
